sitting at the table 20 years from now,

you with peanut butter/banana toast,

me with peanut butter/strawberry instead,

laughing about the strange way we met,

and how it just may have been the peanut butter

that held us together.

My heart is not big enough to manage this.

In the next two months I’ll have to handle jack coming back, josh coming back, Phil coming up, Brian being around in between this, and knowing that at the end of it, I’ll be just as alone as I am now.
